Frequently Asked Questions
How does scoring work?
Score pays three things: how close you land, how quick you commit, and whether you land it exactly. Closeness is graded as a percentage of the round's range and does most of the work. Speed pays ×1.5 for an instant answer, fading to ×1.0 by eight seconds. Land the exact number and the whole total gets ×1.5, applied last.
What do the verdicts mean?
Your miss is graded as a percentage of the round's range, not the raw numbers: perfect is an exact hit, very close is within 1%, close is within 5%, and anything wider is a miss.
Do I drag or tap?
Either, always. Press to start aiming and release when it looks right: nothing locks in until you let go, and there's no numeric readout while you aim. Or tap once and commit instantly, wherever it lands, no adjustment. Both work in every round, neither scores differently, and there's nothing to switch or choose.
How do I unlock new Faces?
Ten Faces, ten different looks on the same game. Arcade is equipped from the start. The other nine are earned by playing, never bought. Land a single bullseye and Solar unlocks; build a streak of 10 guesses within 5% and Blueprint unlocks; reach 1,000 rounds played and Tide unlocks. The rest track different measures, rounds played, days played, accuracy averages, back-to-back bullseyes, and one stays hidden until you find it. Tap Faces to open the cabinet and see your progress toward each.
What's the hidden Face?
One rung, Graphite, doesn't state its condition. The cabinet shows a mystery tile in its place. It's found through play, not luck. Keep playing and it'll tell you when it's ready.
What's a ranked run?
Twenty rounds, one total, and the total is what counts. Finish a run and it posts to the global leaderboard, the top 50 best runs in the world. The board keeps one small record per player: an assigned name like swirling-swan-29, made up by the app rather than chosen, plus your best run, when you set it, and how many runs you've finished. Free play is untouched.
How do I get my score off the board?
Email privacy@mimiclab.ai with the player name the app shows you and we'll delete your record. There's no in-app way to do it, and nothing on the board can be edited from a device. That's by design.
Does Linepoint need an internet connection?
Free play doesn't. It works fully offline, and a failed or missing connection never blocks a round. Ranked runs need a connection to post your total to the leaderboard; without one the board waits and the game plays on.
Do I need to sign in or make an account?
No. There's no account, no email, and no password anywhere in the app. Linepoint signs you in anonymously behind the scenes so it works properly, but you never see or interact with that step.
Is there anything to buy? Are there ads?
Nothing to buy. Every Face is earned by playing; there's no store and no purchase flow. There are ads: a banner, and now and then an ad between rounds. Never mid-streak. When you first open Linepoint it asks whether ads can be picked for you: allow it and they're relevant, decline and they're random. Change your mind anytime in iOS Settings under Privacy, Tracking.
