How do I earn drops?

Drops are earned by solving experiments. Harder mixtures pay more, and matching the Professor's par — a POURFECT solve — pays a bonus. You can also earn extra drops by watching optional rewarded ads.

What do I spend drops on?

The Stockroom: tube skins (Borosilicate, UV, Frosted, Brass Rim, and friends), liquid effects like Molasses, alternate colorways, benches, and full scenes — the greenhouse annex, the cellar archive, and the observatory.

Where is my progress stored?

On your device, and only there. Pourfect has no accounts, no sign-in, and no servers. Nothing you do in the lab is uploaded anywhere.

The honest flip side: if you delete the app, your progress goes with it — there is no cloud copy to restore. iCloud device backups may include the app's data as part of your normal device backup.

How does Remove Ads work?

Remove Ads is an optional one-time purchase that switches off interstitial ads. Rewarded ads stay available, but only if you choose to watch them. Billing is handled entirely by Apple; we never see your payment details.

If Remove Ads doesn't apply after reinstalling, use Restore Purchases in the app's settings. For refunds, contact Apple Support — all billing goes through them.

How do I change my ad privacy choices?

In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, the consent form you saw at first launch can be reopened any time via Settings → Privacy options inside the app. On iOS you can also manage tracking permission in your device Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

I can't tell some of the liquids apart.

Turn on colorblind mode in the app's settings: every liquid layer gets its own geometric glyph — circles, triangles, squares, diamonds, stars — so no experiment ever depends on color alone.

Is there a timer? Can I lose?

No timer, no lives, no fail state. If a mixture has you cornered, pouring back and rethinking is always allowed — and if a level truly isn't your night, you can skip it for a few drops.

The app is crashing or not loading. What should I try?

Close and reopen the app, then check the App Store for an update. If it persists, restart your device. Before deleting the app, remember progress lives on the device — a reinstall starts the lab fresh. If nothing helps, write to us with your device model and iOS version.

Is the pouring sound really water?

Yes. Every glug, pour, and settle was recorded from real liquid at a real bench, then trimmed and cleaned. Nothing is synthesized. The lab has standards.
